There are seventeen channels affected by this dispute:  MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, TV Land, VH1, BET, Spike, Nick@Nite, Nick Jr., TeenNick, VH1 Classic, NickToons, Logo, CMT, Tr3s, Centric and Palladia.

Time will be the telling factor of whether or not DIRECTV and Viacom will reach a deal.  In the mean time though, Viacom has got some social media heavy-hitters Tweeting and posting about the dispute asking people to contact DIRECTV’s customer service department.  This includes Snooki (@snooki), the Jersey Shore reality star, who recently tweeted, “@DIRECTV is dropping MTV and that means no more SNOOKI & JWOWW so call 800 531 5000 to stop them! http://on.fb.me/NcTksV ‪#whendirectvdrops‬”
